Detailed itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi – Samburua

In the morning one of our professional guide will come at your residence, meet and greet, then drive to Samburu National reserve which is about 6 hours’ drive. On your way you will have a stop-over in Nanyuki and also have a close view of Mt Kenya which is the 2nd tallest mountain in Africa then proceed with your journey.

Upon arrival your will be welcome with a drink, escort your luggage to your room and then go for lunch. Afternoon relaxation then proceeds for your first game drive in the evening and get to explore the land scape and wildlife which includes Buffaloes, Zebra, antelopes and also the five can be spotted.

Later after the game drive you will return back to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Full days exploring Samburu

After breakfast start your day with a morning game drive when the animals are most active, capture the golden light of sunrise and observe the wildlife as they begin their daily activities, and your may be likely to spot predators such as lions and cheetahs on the hunt, as well as other herbivores grazing on the savannah.

You will then proceed to Reteti orphanage where you will get to interact will local Samburu community where they get to feed orphan Elephant and Rhinos giving an up close with the wildlife. Later proceed back to your hotel for late lunch.

Later in the afternoon you may take an optional evening game drive which offers a different perspective and the opportunity to spot nocturnal animals such as leopards, hyenas, and gents. Alternatively, you may opt to take park in other activities such as nature walk, bird watching, visit local Samburu village, or relax by your hotel and take a Dip in the pool or indulge in spa treatments (the spa comes at an extra cost). Note: The specific activities and schedule may vary
